Suggester says: "This highly under-appreciated work deserves not only attention for the master skill, but also for the incredible recreation of natural light. It truly pulls the viewer, much like the scene suggests, to a magical underwater atmosphere."

The motion of this piece, it really captures the "feminine weightlessness" of being underwater. And their hair, just gorgeous.

I first saw this as a thumbnail in 'visually similar images' whilst doing a Google search for a Gustav Klimt painting entitled 'Water Snakes II'. I was immediately drawn to it and on first glance assumed it was a piece by one of the great artists of the art nouveau era. Superb!

The light is very good, the sense of motion and under-water movement is excellent, there's some depth of thought on the anatomy, and so you do receive an overdue favorite! Thank you for sharing this beautiful image.

I love this... I can really feel the trepidation that the mermaid might feel...that unsureness as to whether she should touch that hand or not.
