Do you work all wet-in-wet? Or wait for some to dry then work in layers? Sorry for the questions haha, I gave this style of painting a shot the other day and failed quite spectacularly! Thrilled you painted a bird!

My small paintings are all wet-in-wet. In my larger paintings I'll sometimes go back over to change some values or colors, but not often. I'm glad to answer questions.:)

Thanks! I think it helps to not think of them as animals, but as simple shapes. I know nothing about chicken anatomy, at least on a living bird.:)

Thanks Joe! I ended up using only one brush on this, so I think that helped with the stroke mapping.
